Bio:

Ben Birnbaum is a foreign-affairs reporter and the founder of the
Regional Organization for Peace, Economics & Security (ROPES). His
writing has been published in The New Republic, Newsweek, Politico
Magazine, and other publications, and he has appeared as a guest
commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and BBC. Ben’s 2014 behind-the-scenes
report on the most recent Israeli-Palestinian negotiations was awarded
the National Press Club’s Edwin Hood Award for Diplomatic
Correspondence, the Society for Features Journalism’s
narrative-writing prize, and a National Magazine Award nomination. Ben
graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and recently earned
a Master of Public Affairs degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow
Wilson School for Public and International Affairs. He grew up in
Newton, MA.
